SITA-Msg-Table

In the classical daily OPS-work-flow it is the Ground Handling Agent who sends us an FFM-message shortly after departure of a flight or truck. Upon processing such an FFM-message in COS, we have individual options to launch following actions AUTOMATICALLY:

  1. Booked AWBs will be posted to status “flown”
  2. Unbooked AWBs (in status ”Assigned”) will be completed with booking details and posted to status “flown”, where as the system will also create the record “NBKD” in the Irregularity handling indicating that the shipment was not booked
  3. Non-existent Interline-/Intercompany-AWBs will be created from scratch and posted to status “flown”, again with the respective “NBKD” entry in the Irregularity Handling as well.
  4. Status Code of the respective flight-leg will be set to “DEP”
  5. Total Nbr. of Pcs will be updated
  6. Gross Weight will be updated
  7. Volume will be updated
  8. Uplift Information-messages are sent by e-mail to ALL relevant customer-contacts.

The normal way to process an FFM-mssg. in COS and to launch the automated actions stated above is as follows:

Please note that an FFM-Message might consist of multiple parts, which are sent in more than just one SITA-message. In COS you need to process each message individually, one by one. Preferably you start with the first part (which is indicated on the message itself) and you do it in the correct sequence, e.g. the last part should be processed at the end. Just follow the steps as shown on the next page.
